How AquaTru Purifiers Work

Powerful science, made simple.

AquaTru's 4-stage reverse osmosis technology goes beyond the taste and odor focus of many basic filters, reducing contaminants you may prefer to leave out of your glass.

Image showing the filtration process of the AquaTru Pre/Carbon filter, Reverse Osmosis filter, and VOC Carbon Filter.
Stages 1 + 2: Clean & Prepare

Capture larger particles and reduce chlorine and chloramines, preparing your water for deeper purification.

Stage 3: Deep Purification

Reverse osmosis does the heavy lifting, reducing harder-to-remove contaminants including lead, fluoride, arsenic, nitrates, chromium-6 and microplastics.

Stage 4: Finish for Great Taste

Final carbon filtration targets additional contaminants while giving your purified water a clean, fresh taste.

"One of the most popular pitcher filters that everybody thinks of is only certified to remove 8 contaminants. AquaTru is certified to remove 84. There’s really no comparison."

"I have had The Classic since it was introduced. I finally had to replace it because I wore it out but it is an incredibly effective machine for water purification. It takes all of the foul odors out of the tap water and it is crystal clear when the purification is complete. It is, by far, the best piece of equipment in my kitchen. I use it daily."

This is one of the

"This is one of the best purchases I've made concerning my health. As a heavy daily water consumer I've been concerned about our local water due to it's high content of nitrate and magnese. I was currently using a Brita and had been for years which only removes chlorine. This machine exceeded my expectations. Very user friendly and having a filter that adds the minerals back into the water is perfect. Extremely easy to set up and expect about 1 hour to get the filters primed and your good to go. The water taste fresh and clean and I can be assured that the water is good. If you click on their link you also can get 100.00 off of the initial purchase. Upon much research this was the best and most reliable option I found on the market. I've already passed this on to my friends and will continue to do so."

I must say, after about

"I must say, after about 4 years of trying to distill at least 2 gallons of water everyday , and it rarely being enough for my daily use, I’m thrilled with my Aqua Tru that I can have an abundance of clean water in just 12 minutes!! As opposed to distilling water takes at least 4 hours for one jug! PLUS, I used to only be able to use store bought distilled water to make my sourdough bread as any other water would kill the starter! I was estactic to try the water from my Aqua Tru and it worked in my sourdough just fine! I’m very pleased with my new machine!"

— Betheny Z. (5/5)

almost perfect

"We recently bought the classic model. My wife and I both have 96 ounce water containers that we keep in the refrigerator and I fill them every night. It is inconvenient to use the push button and when you take the lid off to pour it that way, since there is no spout, you have to be very careful not to spill it all over the counter. Beyond that, we like it so far."

— J. R. (4/5)

Love the machine

"The only downsize to this is that we run out of filtered water quickly because it's a small container. We figured out that putting it in a pitcher would help and it did a little. The good news is that the water feels so good that the inconvenience is not a big deal!"

— Lucia (5/5)

"Absolutely awful doesn’t even work, customer service offered me $37 back after going back and forth for multiple weeks. Definitely would not recommend, save you’re time and money and go with a different brand"

"Bought for my apartment after using an under sink RO system. Easy to maintain and tastes very similar to bigger systems I used to have. Highly recommend"

"I’m satisfied so far. It has a sleek look, it purifies the water quickly after refilling the tap water tank. It dispenses easily. The water is good tasting and has no odor. In the heat of summer my tap How is it that “concentrated contaminants are in the waste water in the tap water tank after being filtered. I would very much appreciate an explanation. Sincerely, SAL"

I have had my AquaTru

"I have had my AquaTru system for 10 years and bought another one because the one I have seem to be faultering a bit. I can truly say I absolutely love my countertop Aqua Tru Classic with filters that put the minerals back in the water and filter out more impurities than virtually any other water filtration system. I tell everyone about my Aqua Tru and recently got my older brother who was visiting from another state to buy one for himself. We called AquaTru right there on the spot. Fernando the salesman said he would send me a gift as a thank you. I’m very excited about the gift. AquaTru ALWAYS stands by their products! I have called for technical help and also to just ask questions several times and all who answer the phone are always knowledgeable and super nice people. As you can see I cannot say enough about how wonderful the AquaTru system is as well as all of the staff I have dealt with over the years."

— Linda R. (5/5)

Should have gotten the carafe

"Still a 5 star. I wish I would have gotten the carafe model and an extra carafe so at least one is chilled. I am finding the classic heavy and awkward to manuver into the refrigerator and pouring out of into another container. I used a Britta for years. I like knowing the bad chemicals are filtered out and dumped down the drain. It didn't take long to adjust to the lack of chemical smell and taste tainting my beverages. Tea is a new treasure."

"We used to have a Berky, but this unit excels ! Excellent tasting water, the system lets you know when it's time to change. The countertop footprint is also reasonable. Love it!"
