"My tap water is very hard. I have been using my Aquatru filter daily for about two years. It definitely helps stop lime deposits in my appliance such as the electric kettle and coffee maker. Recently, it began to slow down and then stopped filtering water altogether. Honestly I thought my machine was never going to work again after I changed out the filter cartridges and not one drop would go through. So I purchased the descaling kit and attempted to descale my machine. After several attempts of going through the descaling process unsuccessfully, I left the descaling kit and solution in the machine over night and when I ran the descaling process the next day, the filter started working. It runs like new now. Definitely worth the purchase."

"Found out I was doing descaling wrong. Instructions say to start descaling with warm water and unplug unit after 5 minutes. Should be to unplug after one second! That worked and now unit I s working fine!"
