Frequently Asked Questions

Does it require installation?

Unlike our countertop purifiers, AquaTru Under Sink requires installation. We recommend hiring a certified plumber to install your reverse osmosis system. Installation requires drilling into your pipes under the sink, which is not recommended for individuals unfamiliar with plumbing. Please read through the owner’s manual carefully before attempting to install the system. Proper installation is the responsibility of the installer. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact our technical support team, who can guide you through the installation process.

What contaminants does AquaTru Under Sink reduce??

The AquaTru Under Sink Water Purifier is certified to NSF standards to remove 84 harmful contaminants  (the same contaminants as our countertop water purifiers, including Arsenic, Lead, Chlorine, Fluoride, and many more).View our transparent test results here, Opens in a new window..

What filters does it use and how long do they last?

Our AquaTru Under Sink purifier uses the same filter materials as our countertop units, and has the following filter lives:

Pre-Filter (yellow):6 months or 600 gallons, whichever comes first

RO Filter (blue):2 years or 1200 gallons, whichever comes first

VOC Filter (green):1 year or 600 gallons, whichever comes first

What makes the TruPure RO Sanitizer unique?

Normally, under sink reverse osmosis holding tanks can be a breeding ground for bacteria, if not properly maintained. Most people don’t realize they need to sanitize their tank, and usually, the process involves tubing and a plastic syringe. No, thanks.

That’s why we developed our patent-pending, TruPureTM RO Sanitizer that makes it easy to keep your AquaTru holding tank in pristine condition. Simply unscrew the TruPureTM RO Sanitizer, pour in the sanitizing solution, and complete the sanitizing steps only once per year when you change your VOC filter. Just another way AquaTru ensures that you have pure, great-tasting water.

Reviews

Works great

"Just installed the Aquatru gen 2 Alkaline under sink RO and have been using it for about a week. It works great and doesn’t leak. Water taste and TDS levels are perfect and very similar to the countertop classic alkaline version. There is 0 TDS Creep, which for health considerations, makes this superior to tankless options. If you have good water pressure, the tank can also fill very fast, for me it’s about 50 minutes. Customer service is also phenomenal. Lastly, to install in any sink without drilling a hole in your counter or in the drain pipe, and if you have a disposal or dishwasher connected to your sink, you can get a drain line adapter and a 3 in 1 RO faucet. Perfect setup for an apartment and very easy to do yourself."
