How AquaTru Purifiers Work

Powerful science, made simple.

AquaTru's 4-stage reverse osmosis technology goes beyond the taste and odor focus of many basic filters, reducing contaminants you may prefer to leave out of your glass.

Image showing the filtration process of the AquaTru Pre/Carbon filter, Reverse Osmosis filter, and VOC Carbon Filter.
Stages 1 + 2: Clean & Prepare

Capture larger particles and reduce chlorine and chloramines, preparing your water for deeper purification.

Stage 3: Deep Purification

Reverse osmosis does the heavy lifting, reducing harder-to-remove contaminants including lead, fluoride, arsenic, nitrates, chromium-6 and microplastics.

Stage 4: Finish for Great Taste

Final carbon filtration targets additional contaminants while giving your purified water a clean, fresh taste.

"One of the most popular pitcher filters that everybody thinks of is only certified to remove 8 contaminants. AquaTru is certified to remove 84. There’s really no comparison."

"I hesitated when deciding to purchase the AquaTru Carafe to replace my Zero Water. For the price, how much better could my water be? Wow! Can absolutely taste the difference in my water now. I purchased an extra carafe so I always have a pitcher of water in the fridge. Highly recommend."

Love my AquaTru water purifier. I have a small kitchen, but it doesn’t take up too much space. For the first time in a long while I drank a full Yeti water bottle from the carafe.

"Wish I had learned about AquaTru sooner. Thought I was doing a good thing drinking alkaline water from 5 gal bottles. 10 yrs of drinking microplastics. . good grief. But no more. This purifier is just what I needed. Bought the alkaline boost filter too. Perfect setup."

Aqua Tru Carafe

"I bought Aqua True Carafe a month ago. So far so good. Easy to install on the counter top. No need plumber. Clean and clear drinking water. I love the glass carafe for filtered water. The unfiltered water tank is made of thick plastic material. I prefer glass unfiltered water tank rather than plastic. Aqua True Carafe is an RO or Reverse Osmosis water filtered machine that stay on your counter, not under the sink. It took only 12 minutes to filled up the glass carafe. I am so happy with my purchase. I have high hope that Aqua True Carafe will last me for a long time. Time will tell. Finally, I will recommend anyone to buy Aqua True Carafe in your home for drinking water."

— Naowarat P. (5/5)

The filtered water it makes

"The filtered water it makes is delicious. The AquaTru Carafe is easy to use, and it works incredibly well on my countertop under a cabinet since I added their level wheeled base you can sit it on top of to make refills easy. We use it so much I am glad I ordered an extra glass carafe - I am constantly swapping the two carafes out for each other since now we drink more water, and also we use the filtered water to make coffee and tea."

— The G. (5/5)

Easy to put together when

"Easy to put together when instructions are followed. So far, easy to run with excellent taste, with or without minerals. Promotion with extra carafe has proven a godsend, as our household of 2 goes through 2 carafes a day (sometimes 3). Carafe fills in about 11 1/2 to 12 1/2 minutes. People should consider pure cooking and drinking water the most important health preventative measure they can incorporate into their daily lives (we are, after all, 90% water). Since our usage of AquaTru is only 1 month, we can only hope that our carafe model gives us many years service."

— Don F. (5/5)

I’m loving the AquaTru Carafe.

"I’m loving the AquaTru Carafe. The water tastes great. I’m using the alkaline filter. I average 2 pitchers a day for cooking and drinking. There are two in the household. So far, we’ve had no complications and feel confident that our water is pristine."

— Kathy L. (5/5)

"I was a bit worried when tasting the 5th pitcher, too much carbon taste for myself; however, after about a dozen the water tastes as pure as it looks. Oddly maybe, the main reason for this device are my plants. It’s only been a week but in the two I needed improvement they are starting to show signs of improvement; water has been my only change. I have always drank a great deal of water so I am very happy with the product. The size is perfect for my needs now."

— Daniel (5/5)

Hernando was extremely helpful very

"Hernando was extremely helpful very courteous and very kind on the phone. I would recommend that you tell him for me how pleasant he was and he made my day as I know more info about my machine which I love. I called him on October 28 thank you."

— Gloria M. (5/5)

Very happy with this purchase.

"Very happy with this purchase. Took me a while to get here as I kept reading research and other reviews but finally decided on AquaTru. I had a Berkey for years and the taste of the water is much better from the AquaTru. We all notice the difference. Very happy with taste of water and quality. Also it’s very easy to put together, make more water which takes a few minutes and clean the unit. Quiet also, you just hear the water dripping as its purified, but that’s expected."

— Donna J. (5/5)

Overall like it. Easy to

"Overall like it. Easy to use and water tastes great after filtration. Refilling unit requires moving unit which is difficult but have ordered the accessory base to make that easier. Does not have a power off button so purchased a toggle power plug to resolve that."

— diana b. (4/5)

Improved

"This is my second aqua true. I really like these and the second one the lid closes like it should on the water reservoir in the back of it. The first one I got does not shut down flash on it so it’s annoying. But I’m happy to see that they fix that problem because I also have a friend that said that was her experience."

— MARY N. (5/5)

Great little machine. One glitch

"Great little machine. One glitch is that sometimes, when refilling the tank with fresh water after removing to empty the waste water, the red light will not go off and I have to unplug the unit and then plug it back in for the red light to go off and continue filling the carafe. The floats are fine in the carafe."
